THE winners of the Down Boys’ Brigade Anchor Boys’ creative competition have been announced.

This year’s competition was to design a person based on the ion course The Beatitudes.

Each company had to choose their best entries from P1, P2, P3 and P4, and send them to BB Northern Ireland District and to Down Battalion to be judged.

The boys received a certificate and medal for their entries at the Down Battalion’s Anchor Boys’ service in Newcastle Presbyterian Church. The four overall winners and runners up also received special prizes.

In the Northern Ireland District, the prizewinners were Andrew Cowan (1st Loughbrickland), George Henry and Kai Croskery (1st Spa), Dylan Dunn (3rd Kilkeel).

 P1 winners: Koa Quinn (2nd Annalong), Michah Burke (1st Crossgar), Archie Forsythe (1st Kilkeel), Jaxon Haugh (3rd Kilkeel), Isaac Gowan (1st Loughaghery), Will Baird (1st Loughbrickland),Robbie Priestley (1st Raffrey), Bobby Agnew (1st Slieve Donard)  Overall winner, Kai Croskery (1st Spa); 

runner-up, Charlie Trimble (1st Rathfriland) 

P2 winners: Noah Forsythe (2nd Annalong), Noah Graham (1st Kilkeel), George Fox (1st Loughbrickland), James Neill (1st Raffrey), Harry McDowell (1st Rathfriland), George Montgomery (1st Spa)  Runners Up:  James Downey (1st Slieve Donard), Theo Kelly (1st Loughaghery). Overall winner, Dylan Dunn (3rd Kilkeel).

P3 winners: Josh MacDonald (2nd Annalong), Alfie Orr (1st Crossgar), Seth Malcomson (1st Donaghmore), Harry Ewart (1st Kilkeel), Charlie Speers (3rd Kilkeel), Matiwaza Benham (1st Loughaghery), Aaron Jewhurst (1st Raffrey), Finley Rolston (1st Rathfriland), Harry Chambers (1st Slieve Donard) Runner Up: George Henry (1st Spa. Overall winner, Andrew Cowan (1st Loughbrickland).

P4 winners: Riley Morris (2nd Annalong), Abel Edgar (1st Crossgar), Will Jackson (1st Donaghmore), Jay Ewart (1st Kilkeel), Daniel Strong (1st Loughaghery), Harry Chambers (1st Loughbrickland), Caleb Clifford (1st Raffrey), Noah McDowell (1st Slieve Donard), Ezra Hamilton (1st Spa). Overall winner, Reuben Hanna (1st Rathfriland);   runner-up, Jay Graham (3rd Kilkeel).
