DANCERS from the Owens Academy participated in the school’s third annual summer dance camp in Downpatrick recently.
Thirty dancers, aged 5-18, participated in three days of Irish dance, fitness, games, arts and crafts, mindfulness and more.
Dancers were treated to face paints by local artist and dance mum Donna O’Neill, as well as ice cream, and were presented with certificates of completion at the end of the camp.
Teacher Chris Owens said: “This year’s summer dance camp focused on creating a fun environment for the students all of whom attend regular Irish dance classes throughout the year.
“There was a great sense of fun, friendship as well as lots of dancing across the three years. It’s a great event and one I look forward to each year.”
Chris would like to thank his assistant, Linda Teggart, for her help and support across the three days.
The Owens Academy has resumed weekly classes in its Downpatrick and Saintfield locations. Contact Chris on 07443 498510 for more information on how to join.
