Centennial celebrations event by Spa Wells LOL

MEMBERS of Spa Wells LOL 620 kicked off their year long celebrations of the Centennial of Northern Ireland with a hike up Slieve Croob on New Year’s Day.

Crisp clear weather afforded enchanting views stretching to neighbouring Scotland and England.

A poem was written to commemorate the occasion.

On Slieve Croob’s lofty mountain peak:

We placed our flag today

To give a message to the world

That we are here to stay

One hundred years have come and gone

Our motto is the same

The Union is our safeguard

And this we will maintain.

The members plan more exciting and interesting

projects throughout the year.
