BALLYNAHINCH Camera Club members took part in a studio night last week.
They got the opportunity to photograph a young lady called Ieva.
The more experienced members shared their knowledge of camera settings, lighting and poses with the less experienced to ensure that everyone was able to obtain the best images possible.
Ieva proved to be a very accommodating model as she worked with the photographers and helped them to learn what was needed to get the most from the evening.
At the previous week’s meeting club members Frances Price and John Knipe gave a highly informative talk about their recent trip to Mongolia where they attended the annual Eagle Festival.
They were part of a multinational group of people who travelled to Mongolia to watch nomadic tribesmen and women display their skills in horsemanship and falconry.
Frances and John used the opportunity to obtain some stunning images of the people and their environment.
The trip was organised by Mudita Adventures which is co-owned by local man Johnny Ward.
Everyone who took part in the trip contributed towards the cost of providing safe and hygienic toilet facilities for a family living in a ger camp on the outskirts of the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, and they got the opportunity to meet the family who had benefited from this project.
This week’s meeting will be a night with a difference as club members and guests will meet in the Lakeside Inn at 8pm for a pub quiz in aid of club funds and local charity ALPS. All are welcome.
New members are always welcome and if anyone with an interest in photography would like more details of joining the club they should visit the club website: www.ballynahinchcameraclub.co.uk.
