MB McGrady & Co Chartered Accountants is making waves in September in a bid to raise money for its new charity partner.

To mark the company’s support for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland it has launched the ultimate aqua challenge entitled ‘Can you Beat the Flying Doctor?’

Taking place on Friday, September 14, at Let’s Go Hydro, Carryduff, the challenge is a timed inflatable assault course, packed full of adrenaline-fuelled action and fun.

MB McGrady has three offices situated in Downpatrick, Newtownards and Belfast, and staff from across all offices will be taking part in the challenge to try to beat the time set by Dr Alan Laverty, a flying doctor with Air Ambulance NI.

Open to both individuals and teams, the fundraiser offers people the chance to tackle aqua park obstacles while also racing against each other.

Conaill McGrady, director of M B McGrady & Co, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the vital work that Air Ambulance NI does and helping the charity to maintain its service and contribute towards long-term sustainability.

“The charity choice was unanimously chosen by employees and we are thrilled to be partnering with such a remarkable charity and look forward to developing our relationship over the years.

“To mark the partnership we wanted to do something fun and different that allowed us to engage with not only clients, co-workers and friends, but also those within the community. We hope to raise lots of money and would encourage anyone looking for an amusing challenge to sign up.”

Air Ambulance NI Corporate Fundraiser Kerry Anderson said they were delighted with the support.

“September 2018 marks Air Ambulance NI Month, so we are thrilled that MB McGrady & Co are helping to celebrate the milestone with this unique, fun, family event,” she said.

“It’s set to be a great day, and we would love to get as many people as possible making waves and raising money for the charity.

“To ensure the service is sustained we need to raise £2 million each year, so public support is crucial. By taking part you’ll be making a lifesaving difference and helping to raise vital funds for Air Ambulance NI.”
