Well done to young folk

SIR, — I note the work undertaken by the South Eastern Education and Library Board’s Downpatrick AEP Project to gather and distribute hampers to elderly residents in our area during the Christmas Period.

I want to congratulate the young people on this achievement as young people are often highlighted for their negative contribution to society and here is a great example of young people working hard to help and assist others in their community.

I think this is an excellent piece of work and congratulate the staff and, especially, the young people involved.
