Vintage club hands over nine cheques to various charities

CLARAGH Bridge Vintage Club celebrated another successful year on Friday evening with a presentation of cheques to nine charities.

Also at the event the various trophies were presented, including the Quinn Plaque which was presented by Liam Quinn to the Senior Clubperson of the Year, Seamus McGrady.

The Junior Clubperson, Jack Kelly, was presented with the Michael Rodgers Plaque, by Matt Rodgers.

The main Charity of the evening was still birth and neonatal death charity, SANDS, and the among other charities to receive cheques was the Air Ambulance who received a cheque presented by Conor McMullan who was the Air Ambulance’s first patient.

Other organisations to receive cheques were the Kids Kabin, Drumaroad, St Francis Primary School, Drumaroad, Tollymore Football Club, Knockevin Special School, the Pulmonary Heart Association (PHA UK) and the organisers of the local senior citizens community christmas dinner. 

Club chairman, Liam Quinn,thanked all for their attendance and their help throughout the year to make the evening possible, including the Safety Bikers for the tractor road run, all the advertisers for the events programme, the Seaforde Working Vintage Club, Dromara Vintage Club, health and safety officer, Stephen McMullan, the local press, the King’s Inn for providing the refreshments for the evening and anyone who helped to make the events successful.
