Varsity blue for Patrick

FORMER Down High School student Patrick Calvert, has been selected on the bench for Cambridge in this year’s Varsity match against Oxford.

Patrick is in his third year reading Natural Sciences at St. John’s College. He is currently captain of the College Rugby Club.

The match takes place at Twickenham tomorrow at 2pm and is being covered on Sky Sports 1. Patrick is the first former Down High student to have achieved a Varsity rugby blue.

School results against Dalriada: 1st XV lost 10-0, 2nd XV won 20-3, Medallion XV won 42-0.
