Time to catch the litter louts on TV

SIR, — Councillor Liam Johnston believes it’s about time the culprits of fly-tipping, littering and dog fouling “caught themselves on” (Down Recorder, January 25).

They are a blight on such otherwise fantastic parts of Down as the Old Course Road, the north shore of Ardglass harbour and the back of Quay Lane in Killough.

Those responsible for fly-tipping diminish our quality of life and seriously impede efforts to attract investment, promote tourism and create jobs. Isn’t it about time Down Council saw to it that these anti-social people are caught on camera?

Yours etc.,

CHRIS MURPHY,

Killough.
