Thanks from grateful doctor

SIR, — I wish to acknowledge with heartfelt thanks all who contributed to to my retirement evening in Dundrum’s Aquina’s Hall on November 8.

It was a wonderful occasion for me and my family, full of decency and warmth. The surgery staff, retirement committee and catering group deserve special thanks for an evening enjoyed by all.

My daughter Claire received a portion of the gift cheque for immediate use in her water filtration project in Kisii, Kenya (aquaclara.org).
