Thank you for help with Crossgar Youth League

SIR, — As chairman of Crossgar Youth League, I would like to thank a number of people for making this year’s programme one of the best, in particular, committee members Eddie Craig, Steven Keenan, Barry Ward and Gregory Morgan.

Barry invested many hours into the league in addition to his role as treasurer and he has been a great help to me and Eddie as for years we battled without help.

Barry has never missed any games in his three years since joining and is an inspiration. He is a man of many talents and has a number of great ideas for next year’s league programme when we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary.

I would also like to thank ladies’ committee members Leanne Moore, Nicola Tate, Pamela Higgins and Margaret Teggart for their efforts, with special thanks to Bernie McKeating and Hannah Braden for all their help.

Thanks also to Brendan Rice for his fantastic help at our presentation day on September 8 held at the Downshire Hospital’s Great Hall which is a first class venue.

Lastly, a massive thank you to all the 320 players and all their parents for making the Crossgar Youth League a great community event. We hope to hold our annual meeting in February and details will be confirmed on our Facebook page.

Once again, thanks to all and I look forward to seeing everyone again next season.

Yours etc,

PAUL TEGGART,

Crossgar Youth

League chairman.
