Successful day at Glebe House

SIR, — On behalf of everyone involved in organising the recent open day at Glebe House, Kilclief, I should like to thank all the local business people and individuals who supported us in a variety of ways.

As usual we were overwhelmed by the generosity of local people and the support that they gave us, before and during the day itself. Despite the plethora of attractions in the district over the holiday weekend and the cold weather, we had a great turnout and a lot of fun was had by one and all, young and not so young.

With the money raised on the day we will be able to continue our cross-community work with children, young people and adults, particularly in the Down, Ards and North Down districts. The scope of our work can be seen by visiting our website: www.glebehouseni.com, where people can also support us for further funding, by following the Lloyds Banking Group Link.

If you or your group feel you could make use of the facilities at Glebe House, please do not hesitate to contact the Centre Manager, Diarmaid Mc Garrigle on 02844 881374.
