SHIMNA Integrated College student, Madison Crawford, has gained a place on Queen’s University’s prestigious Pathways Programme for Psychology.

The programme supports talented young people on their journey to Queen’s by giving them the chance to study a little of their chosen subject on

campus in order to prepare them for the transition to university life.

The programme offers a range of benefits, including a reduced grade conditional offer or a guaranteed interview, a £1,000 bursary, and the chance to attend a completely free summer school that gives you the chance to study as a Queen’s student.

Madison is excited to be part of the programme and is looking forward to the opportunity to study Psychology at Queen’s.

The programme is designed to cultivate the talents of aspiring psychologists like Madison,

providing them with the opportunity to explore the complexities of the human mind and behaviour under the guidance of world-renowned experts in the field.

“I’m really grateful to have been offered a place on the Pathway Programme,” Madison said.

“I’m looking forward to meeting like-minded students and getting to know a range of academics and staff.

“I’m also excited about the opportunity to improve my study skills and confidence.”

Madison is studying for A-Levels in Biology, Psychology and Health and Social Care at Shimna College.

Assistant vice-principal, Joanne Poland, expressed pride in Madison’s accomplishment.

“Madison is a talented student who has joined our Sixth Form. She has worked extremely hard to achieve her place on the Pathways Programme and we are delighted for her,” she said.
