Ramery roar to glory in 9-a-side Cup final

RAMERY were crowned Division 3 9-a-side Cup champions after disposing of The Heights in last Thursday night’s final. League official Joe McMullan presented the trophy to the winning Ramery team. 

Saturday saw the individual competition being played at the Lighthouse in Ardglass when 31 players turned out for the competition. Damien Sharvin won the coveted title with Donal O’Connor the runner-up.

The Charlie Lowry Memorial competition was held on Sunday with a great turnout of skittle and non-skittle players. The winners were Daniel Murphy and Kevin O’Shea and the runners-up were Cecil Telford and Declan Lavery

The 9–a–side Cup semi-finals and final will be played on Friday at Castle Inn, could all teams be there for 7.15 for a 7.30 start. The four teams are: Russell v Rossglass and Castle Inn B v Collins’.

Division 3 results: Mirabelle 3 Four Roads 5, Roundhouse 5 Turley’s 3, Shrigley 1 Heights 7, Ramery walk over, Anchor B 5 Avenue 3. Unfortunately, Denvir’s had to pull out of the league so Heights, Four Roads and Turley’s you just need to leave your cards in for the week you were to play them please do not travel.

This week’s competition is the Sean Halpin Memorial Cup being held in the Lighthouse on Saturday at 4pm
