Praise after big Twelfth success

SIR, — As District Master of the Orange Order’s Lecale District, I would like to commend the Ballynahinch District for the organisation of last week’s Twelfth of July parade in the market town.

The annual demonstration was excellent and the organisation was second to none. The weather was fantastic and all in all it was a great day for those on parade and the spectators who lined the route from the Belfast Road to the Spa Road.

Ballynahinch looked incredibly well and the new arch in Main Street is a credit to all those involved for putting it there. Its presence certainly added to the occasion. Everyone I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed the day, with families from near and far in the town to enjoy themselves.

The Ballynahinch District has certainly set the bar high for the Castlewellan District which will host next year’s Twelfth demonstration in Newcastle.

Yours etc,

WILLIAM WALKER,

Killyleagh.
