Mrs. Kathleen Feenan

THE sudden death of Downpatrick woman Mrs. Kathleen Feenan (née Duffy), came after she had just celebrated her 49th birthday on December 19.

Mrs. Feenan, who died peacefully at her St. Dillon’s Avenue home, was a loving wife to Damian and a loving mother to Marie-Therese and Christopher and devoted grandmother to Amy and Sean. She was also a loving niece to Paddy Galbraith and mother-in-law to Stephen McQuoid.

A person who was happiest when in her home with her family, Mrs. Feenan was very trustworthy. Her door was always open and she never breathed a word said in confidence or indeed had a bad word to say about anyone.

Mrs. Feenan faced many challenges and struggles with her health which she fought valiantly with the support of Damian and her family. Her strength and courage to cope with these challenges was an inspiration to everyone that knew her.

The Downpatrick woman was a very kind and gentle person who loved a laugh and enjoyed the craic with family and friends.

Being a devoted grandmother, she loved nothing more in seeing her grandchildren Amy and Sean providing unlimited hours of entertainment and laughter.

Mrs. Feenan will be truly missed and her sudden and untimely young death has left a void in the family that can never be filled.
