Police appeal after man approaches girl

POLICE are looking for a man who was involved in an incident with a young girl in Ballynahinch on Thursday, March 10.

Around 9am the 12 year old girl was walking along Crossgar Road when she was grabbed by the shoulder and turned round by a man.

A man then let go of her and asked where she was going but the girl ran off into the nearby school.

The man is described as being around 40 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build and clean shaven. He was wearing a green and white hat, tinted sunglasses, a black puffa jacket, black jeans and black shoes.

Police would like this man or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them in Down on 101, quoting reference number 261 100316.
