Pensioners enjoy Christmas dinner

AROUND 60 senior citizens from Dundrum enjoyed Christmas dinner and festive entertainment during a recent event.

Organised by the village committee and funded by the Dundrum Development Association, the event was held at the Dundrum Inn with everyone enjoying their meal, the entertainment and the craic.

Organisers wish to thank staff at the Dundrum Inn for serving an excellent meal, supplying the refreshments free of charge and pulling out all the stops to make it a great day for all concerned.

Thanks have also been extended to Mr Francie Cunningham who provided the music and livened the party up with his sing-a-long, during which some were encouraged to take over the microphone and entertain everyone with their renditions of some old familiar songs.

Santa also paid a special visit to the Dundrum Inn, delivering presents, with a special one earmarked for village committee chairman Wilbert Hassard.

Everyone who attended had a great day with the event providing people across the village with an opportunity to meet up for a chat and enjoy a lovely meal.
