Joined by top class musicians, Brigid’s beautiful voice, memorable lyrics and on-stage banter makes for a captivating live show not to be missed. The performance starts at 8pm with bar facilities from 7pm. Tickets are priced at £12 / £10 concession.

On Saturday at Down Arts Centre, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation is being marked by an iconic play following its leading protagonist, Martin Luther.

Presented by Centre Stage theatre company, ‘Luther’ is a remarkable dramatisation of John Osborne’s Tony award-winning play that delivers a vivid portrayal of the 16th century monk who publicly spoke out against the archaic customs and corruption within Catholicism.

As one of the most significant and influential playwrights of 20th century theatre, John Osborne is best known for his ground breaking ‘Look Back in Anger.’

His play ‘Luther’ revisits the Reformation and gives a powerful portrait of the role of monk, Martin Luther, as he agonises with his doubts, disillusions and subsequently the consequences of his world shattering cry for church reform. This show starts at 8pm with bar facilities from 7pm. Tickets are priced at £12 / £10 concession.
