Mrs. Margaret Emson

MRS. Margaret Emson (née Rooney), of Treeton, South Yorkshire, England, sadly passed away at Rotherham Hospital on January 1. She was 81.

Margaret was born in Co. Down on April 14, 1933, to Patrick and Roseanna Rooney, and lived in Ballyhornan.

The eldest of four children, she had two brothers, Patrick, who sadly passed away in 2008, and Shaun, and a sister, Joan.

In her late teens, Margaret went to live with relatives in Rotherham, England, where she met her future husband, Raymond.

The couple were married a few years later and they continued to live in Rotherham.

Margaret was originally a nurse before becoming a loving housewife and mother to their three children.

Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, who sadly passed in 2013.

She is survived by her children, Colette, David and Desmond, grandchildren and great grandchild.

Margaret will be buried in Treeton alongside her husband of almost 60 years. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 12, at 1pm.
