Mrs. Leah Bradshaw

MRS. Lydia (Leah) Bradshaw, who died in Kings Castle Nursing Home, Ardglass, was a lady who had many interests and a deep affection for the Strangford area. She was 93.

Kind and generous in equal measure, she was a great supporter of Portaferry Lifeboat Station and worked in the RNLI shop on a regular basis for many years. She also helped raise much-needed funds for the Northern Ireland Hospice, which was also dear to her heart.

Mrs. Bradshaw enjoyed craftwork, baking, reading, gardening, walking and travelling. She was a lady who enjoyed life and hated to waste a single second. She will be sadly missed by her family in Ireland, England and Canada.

The funeral took place on Sunday, March 18, from her son Stephen’s residence to St. Malachy’s Church, Kilclief.

Mrs. Bradshaw is survived by her sons Michael, Bernard and Stephen, daughters Rosaleen, Helena and Frances, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her Month’s Mind Mass will take place in St. Malachy’s Church, Kilclief, on Sunday, April 15, at 11am.
