Mr Terry Quayle

MR Terry Quayle, who died at his home, 8 Ardcuan Park, Raholp, on September 23, was a popular and respected member of his community. He was 77.

A loving husband of Peggy and devoted father to Terry, Marie, Eugene, Margaret and Gareth, he was also a much loved father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend.

A keen Arsenal supporter, darts player and farmer, Terry loved nothing more than being on his farm, often spending hours walking the ground, checking his stock and taking in the breathtaking views of Strangford Lough.

He was a devoted family man and especially enjoyed the company of his grandchildren with whom he shared stories of the past, rhymes he made up as a child and the pranks he played. They, in turn, loved listening to their grandfather’s tales.

The funeral on September 25 was held under Covid restrictions. Requiem mass in St Patrick’s Church, Saul, was followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
