Mr Martin Graham

TRIBUTES have been paid to environmentalist Martin Graham who died recently.

Mr Graham, who passed away on April 29 at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, lived at the Scaddy Road area outside Downpatrick.

Councillor Cadogan Enright described Mr Graham as someone “wonderfully enthusiastic about life and the environment” and said he will be sadly missed, especially at Killard Nature Reserve where he helped organise the Butterfly Walking Group.

“Martin’s joy was evident when he would walk through the area and spot a Common Blue or a rare Fritillary butterfly. His company and energy for life will be sorely missed by us all,” added Cllr Enright.

Mr Graham’s funeral service was held last Thursday at Downpatrick Presbyterian Church.
