Mr. John Brady

Mr. John Brady, of 8 Race Course Road, Downpatrick, who died in hospital after a short illness, was a well-known figure around Downpatrick.

He spent his early years in Ballynarry and after leaving school went into the building trade. He became a skilled bricklayer and his work can be seen in many of the houses in the Downpatrick area.

In later years he became involved in outdoor bowls and also had an interest in grass cutting machinery and old tractors, driving one in a local parade.

John was a proud family man and enjoyed being with his family especially his grand children Dylan and Megan.

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Jacqueline, sons Martin and Gary, son in law Alistair, daughter in law Nicola, grandson Dylan and granddaughter Megan, his brothers and sisters and the family circle.
