Mr. David Gordon

DAVID Gordon, of Cumber Hill, Drumaness, who died in the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, was a popular and respected figure in local football. He was 55.

He managed and coached a number of local soccer teams — among them Drumaness Mills, Kilmore Rec and Dromara Village — and was an inspirational figure to many young footballers.

A civil servant by occupation, his other interests included fishing.

David is survived by his wife, Anne, son Jason, daughters Terri and Kathy, and grandchildren Fotini and Alex.

 

Fr. Des Loughran celebrated requiem mass in Christ the King Church, Drumaness, on May 26, which was followed by interment in Holy Family cemetery, Teconnaught.
