Mr. Brian McAreavey

MR. Brian McAreavey, of 3 Johns Crescent, Downpatrick, who died in Downe Hospital, was a popular member of the community who is sadly missed. He was 68.

A digger driver by occupation, Mr. McAreavey had many interests, including gardening, pool, card games, skittles and, not least, spending time with his first and only grandson.

He is survived by his partner Lorraine, daughter Ruth and her partner Mark, grandson Tyler-James, sisters Margaret and Betty, brother John and friend Maura.

Fr. Liam Toland celebrated requiem mass in St. Patrick’s Church on August 21, which was followed by interment at St. Patrick’s cemetery, Killough Road, Downpatrick.
