Mr. Anthony Smyth

THE death of Mr. Anthony Smyth at his home, 4 St. Patrick’s Drive, Downpatrick, has been widely mourned.

Mr. Smyth, who was 55, was a joiner who had to retire early owing to ill health.

He had many interests which included quizzes, crosswords, walking his dog and horse racing.

Requiem mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick, on November 4 was celebrated by his brother, Father Brendan.

Bishop Anthony Farquhar presided and other priests in the Down and Connor diocese were in attendance.

 

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Margo, Anne, Winnie, Eugene, Maria, Hugh and Fr. Brendan.
