Mournes rescue

MOURNE Mountain Rescue Team rescued a man who became stranded on the slopes of Slieve Bernagh on Monday.

The walker had fallen and sustained a serious leg injury. A total of 19 team members responded to the call shortly before 12.30pm.

The man was treated and moved to Trassey car park before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Downpatrick PSNI officers also assisted with the rescue.
