Lipstick Ladies taking on a park challenge

Lipstick Ladies taking on a park challenge

17 February 2016

THE Lisbane Lipstick Ladies are fundraising for TinyLife with all donations being entered into a raffle of great prizes donated by local businesses.

The prizes include a piece of art work by local artist Kathryn Callaghan worth £695, a rugby shirt signed by Ulster and Ireland player Tommy Bowe, meal vouchers, clothes vouchers, jewellery by Diane Lyness, beauty and hair vouchers and day passes for family days out.

To encourage donations, the group of six women will be taking part in a ladies only ‘Operation Lipstick’ adventure event on Saturday, March 19, in Castlwellan Forest Park.

Tasks will include orienteering, a climbing wall, raft building and racing.

Tinylife, Northern Ireland’s Premature Baby Charity, has recently been a great source of support for one of the members of the team who had premature triplets boys born at 29 weeks.

Valerie Cromie, Head of Fundraising for Tinylife, said: “This is the sixth year of Operation Lipstick and to date our fabulous Lipstick Ladies have raised an incredible £90,000 for Tinylife.

“Operation Lipstick 2016 will capture all the fun of last year and will have a few added twists to keep the event interesting including facing the ‘sin bin’ if tasks aren’t completed within the set time.”

Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/lisbanelipstickchallenge.

All donations are welcome and to enter the prize draw a minimum donation of £10 is required.
