Ladies take to catwalk at Spa Golf Club

15 March 2017

LADY members, including girls from the junior section, were the stars of a fabulous fashion show held in a packed clubhouse at Spa Golf Club last week.

Heather Edgar, the Club’s Lady Captain, complimented those who modelled the outfits from Dress ladies fashions on Ballynahinch’s Main St and said they were “of the highest professional standard”.

A comprehensive range of costumes were provided by Dress proprietor, Pauline McEvoy, while the juvenile girls modelled a range of 2017 golfing outfits supplied by Robert Doherty, the Ireland representative for Glenbrae and Peter Millar.

Compere, Gillian Earls, introduced the models showcasing elegant and sophisticated designer wear to suit all occasions from weddings to evening dresses as well as the more casual.

Laura Mason filled the dual role of make-up artist and junior model while hair styling was by Cuanniece O’Hare, of the Ze Cut salon in Ballynahinch.

For this show the models abandoned the traditional catwalk presentation in favour of an informal mingling with the guests who welcomed the opportunity to  study the outfits at their leisure.

The Lady Captain thanked everyone who had made the Spa fashion show such a success particularly Pauline and Robert for providing such beautiful clothing, the models, the compere, Club members, those who supported the event and all  who had worked so hard behind the scenes.

“As a result of this evening Spa Golf Club ladies will now be the height of fashion - both on and off the course,” Heather said.
