Killyleagh family fun day was wonderful event for all ages

SIR, — I would like to thank the Killyleagh Heritage Association for this year’s excellent family fun day at the Bridge Community Centre.

Once again the members of this organisation excelled themselves, organising a brilliant day for children across the town.

A few weeks ago, Heritage Association officials were at the forefront of celebrations in Killyleagh to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The family fun day on July 7 was excellent and was the fifth the Heritage Association has organised. With each passing year this event gets better and better.

Children from across the town took part in the free event, which included food and refreshments. A great day was had by all who came along, including parents and senior citizens who enjoyed the fun going on around them and a welcome cup of tea.

The Killyleagh Heritage Association operates on a shoestring budget, but it continues to do a marvellous job, thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of its members and generous support provided by the local business community.

Yours etc.,

CLLR. BILLY WALKER,

Killyleagh.
