Have you free time to volunteer for Marie Curie?

SIR, — Marie Curie, NI’s leading charity for people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones, is calling for new collectors to help raise vital funds in the Down area to support Marie Curie nurses.

Marie Curie nurses work day and night, in people’s homes across NI providing hands-on care and vital emotional support.

Marie Curie also supports people throughout their illness by providing practical information and guidance to anyone affected by terminal illness.

We usually undertake collections on the street and in local supermarkets during March and the autumn. In recent times we have been unable to fill all our available shifts. Could you spare a couple of hours, once or twice a year, to raise vital funds for our charity?”

If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer for Marie Curie, they are encouraged to contact me on 9088 2066 or email phil.kane@mariecurie.org.uk

Free Marie Curie support and Information are available for anyone with questions about terminal illness. Contact 0800 090 2309 or visit mariecurie.org.uk/support.
