Group says thanks for collection donations

SIR, — The Friends of the Cancer Centre’s Newcastle fundraising group would like to thank residents and visitors for the support given during the street collection held on Saturday, August 31 when £687.14 was raised.

The money will be used to support local people affected by cancer.
