Drainage scheme works for residents

SIR, — I would like to extend my thanks to the Roads Service for completing work on a new drainage scheme at the Dunmore Road in Ballynahinch.

The work included a stretch of road from the 30mph sign to Spa Church and has made a major difference. It has also been welcomed by residents in the area.

There are a number of new housing developments at this particular area and residents have highlighted the need for a bus shelter to be provided to meet the needs of local children.

This is an issue which I hope local politicians will support and do what they can to help ensure a much-needed shelter is provided. In my role as a member of the Rural Community Network, I will be doing my best to help.

Yours etc.,

MR. PAT WARD,

Drumaness.
