Charity work lands Katrina with award

24 September 2014

A DOWNPATRICK woman has received national recognition for her charity work.

Katrina McIlmail has been presented with a Certificate of Achievement for her work with the largest civilian occupational charity in the UK — the Charity for Civil Servants.

The award was presented by Sue Owen, Permanent Secretary at The Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Chairwoman of the Charity.

Katrina, from the Department for Employment and Learning, was presented with the Certificate for her exceptional commitment to the Charity.

The Charity for Civil Servants helps people who work or have worked in the Civil Service and their families by offering information, practical support and advice during their working lives and in retirement. In 2013 over 10,000 people in need were supported with advice, referral or financial assistance.
