BRIGHT played their last league match of the season against Loughinisland winning 7.5-2.5 and finishing runners-up to St. Patrick’s in Division 2.

St. Patrick’s continued their assault on the Division 2 League Cup with a 60-33 shots win over 

St. Macartan’s.

In Division 1 St. Patrick’s Golf Club entertained Marina. The first half belonged to the home side, who just edged out the visitors 2.5-1.5. After the tea break it was Marina who turned the match around and won three out of the four games.

However, they failed to get the overall two points to win the match, St. Patrick’s Golf Club winning 5.5-4.5.

Saul played St. Mary’s at home and the visitors started off well by claiming three out of the four games. After the tea break it was the reverse, the home side winning three out of the four games. 

When the shots were added up it was St. Mary’s who collected the overall two points, taking the match 6-4.

Ballycruttle found the going tough away to St. Michael’s and only managed to get 1.5 points. 

With some of their key players missing, it was Asumpta Taggart’s rink that won the points for Ballycruttle.

• The Lecale charity pairs tournament in aid of Diabetes Charity has been arranged for Monday and Tuesday, March 16-17, in Drumaroad Hall, with the finals night on Saturday, March 21, at a venue to be confirmed.
