Autism awareness

SIR, — April is Autism Awareness Month and Monday, April 2, has been designated Autism Awareness Day.

CAPAA, the local autism charity, has planned an open day to let parents, friends, businesses and professionals from education and health and young people with ASD see our premises and look at some of the work our young people have been involved in.

We are showing two short DVDs by one of our young people. It’s a chance to come along have a cup of tea and chat to some of our volunteers, without whom we couldn’t exist, and others interested in autism.

The times are 11am-1pm and 7-9pm and it’s free. The Centre is the building to the right of the Great Hall with the yellow door which used to be ward 24.

Yours etc.,

MOIRA DENVIR,

CAPAA.
