NEWCASTLE’S first disco club by and for adults with learning disabilities has announced its dates for 2019 – with the first event starting tonight.

The Black Moon Disco, founded by brother and sister Barry and Susan Smyth, is supported by Autism Initiatives and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. 

The inaugural disco was held in Diamond Pats bar in Central Promenade in Newcastle on December 10.

There will be monthly discos with tonight’s disco and every Wednesday from 7-10pm on the following dates: February 27, March 27, April 24, May 29, June 26, July 31, August 28, September 25, October 30, November 27 and December 18.

Admission is £4 and carers are admitted free.
