Police issue appeal after crazed-like drugs put into vapes

10 April 2024

POLICE have issued a warning about the use of so-called psychoactive substances, especially when they are put in vapes.

The warning comes after officers were contacted by a concerned parent last weekend in relation to someone supplying her son with Spice.

The individual was arrested a person for possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

In addition, following a search of the person’s house and vehicle, various items were seized, including suspected Spice.

Reminding people of the danger of using psychoative substances, especially when they are being put in vapes, police say they will continue to pursue those involved in the supply of drugs.

Officers are also appealing to anyone who has information about drugs or any other crimes to get in touch via the non-emergency 101 number or make an online report.

Information can also be provided anonymously using the confidential Crimestoppers number by 0800 555 111.
