Photographer talks about his travels in Europe and America

21 January 2015

MEMBERS of Ballynahinch Camera and Digital Imaging Club last week welcomed Paul Hanley as their first visiting speaker of 2015.

A large number of members braved the elements to attend this meeting and were rewarded for their efforts with a very entertaining and informative talk entitled City and Architecture.

Paul got the balance right between giving technical details of his cameras, lenses and software and divulging basic tips on how to get the best shots of buildings and cityscapes.

His images were taken in various cities, including Vienna, Berlin, Paris and Chicago and many were accompanied by amusing stories as to how he had actually managed to obtain them without getting arrested or being thrown out.

The special guest speaker at this week’s meeting will be Nigel Snell, a Bangor-based wildlife photographer whose talk is entitled My Wildlife Journey.

Members are reminded that all images for Round 4 of the NIPA competition must be submitted by January 22.

New members are always welcome to the club and further details can be obtained from the club’s website — www.the-bhcc.co.uk.
