Students shine in art competition

STUDENTS from Assumption Grammar School in Ballynahinch shone in the recent Ballynahinch Credit Union art competition.

This year’s theme, The Force of Nature, encouraged pupils to consider the impact the local environment has on the community and the importance of protecting it.

Students were challenged to express their ideas, visions and hopes about their local or global environment into art.

The winners are as follows: 11-13 years category — 1st Cara Burns, 2nd Cliodhna Ranaghan, 3rd Kilara Uludag; 14-17 — 1st Eabha Campbell, 2nd Louisa Buckle, 3rd Kirsty Crowe.
