A FASHION show which evokes the glamorous style worn by your mother or grandmother in the 1950s visits the area on Saturday night.
St John’s GAC in Drumnaquoile is hosting the show from the Living Vintage Company as a fundraiser in aid of local people travelling to Romania with Habitat for Humanity and the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology at QUB.
Living Vintage is a travelling fashion show where models wear a magnificent collection of some of the most stylish haute couture of the forties and fifties in a great atmosphere of fun and nostalgia.
Owned by sisters Bridget Owens and Marian Keenan, Living Vintage is a not-for-profit organisation.
All monies raised are donated to Cancer Research at Queens University Belfast and Habitat for Humanity.
The evening will showcase day dresses, suits and evening wear and is rounded of with a stunning bridal show.
Bridget said: “Living Vintage evenings are great fun with plenty of laughs and many happy nostalgic memories.
“We are extremely proud of our collection of authentic forties and fifties fashion and all the outfits are accessorised with the appropriate vintage hats, gloves, bags, jewellery and of course, seamed stockings. Of course, some local ladies will also be on the catwalk.”
