Seaforde plan complete

Seaforde plan complete

16 October 2013

A NEW vision for the future development of Seaforde over the next 15 years will be outlined in the village next Tuesday night.

The YFC hall is the venue for the launch of what is being billed as an “integrated vision and action plan” which was commissioned by the Seaforde and District Community Association.

The completed plan is the result of months of hard work by the community group and a series of public consultation events, including a survey, public open sessions and a village walkabout earlier this year.

Contained within the plan are a number of recommendations or “actions” for improving the village, including better community facilities and environmental improvements at key sites.

Community Association chairman, Mr. Malcolm Walker, is encouraging people to make their way to the YFC hall next Tuesday night at 7.30pm.

“This is a great opportunity to bring Seaforde and its community facilities into the 21st century. I encourage anyone with an interest in the future of the village to come along next week,” he said.

Funding for the plan was provided by the Rural Development Programme’s Village Renewal Programme and the Housing Executive.
