LADIES from Seaforde Community Association’s choir performed a Christmas celebration concert at the the village’s Young Farmers Hall for charity last Thursday evening.
Harmonic Progression sang to a packed hall with a selection of seasonal music and entertained the audience with several comedy sketches.
The proceeds of the concert were donated to Life Change Changes Lives, which is based in Market Street, Downpatrick.
During the evening choir member and charity volunteer Helene McGivern explained how the organisation helped people with social isolation, mental health and addiction problems through the medium of art and restoring furniture.
Mrs Carolyn Ross, founder and conductor of the choir, thanked everyone for their most generous support and a cheque for £788 was handed over to David Beckett and Ailish Teague from Life Change Changes Lives.
A further £216 was also presented. This money was raised at the Christmas craft fair by another choir member, Mary McHugh, whose son passed away during the year.
