THE Red High Parents and Friends Association, the parents’ group behind St Patrick’s Grammar School in Downpatrick, raised £8,680 from its recent Christmas Draw.
It donated £200 each to Fountain Street Food Bank and St Vincent De Paul in Downpatrick to support the local work.
Committee member Cormac Artt thanked all involved at the school and local businesses for their generous donations of goods and services for the draw.
He said: “On behalf of our PFA Committee, we just wanted to recognise and thank the overwhelming support we have received for our Christmas Draw in what is a continuing challenging time for us all.
“Our school family and wider community have really stepped up and provided us with the means to continue our work in supporting our students and our wider friends in this area.
“I would like thank in particular Marie-Louise Cushnahan and Michele Clancy for their exhaustive work behind the scenes in organising the draw digitally for the first time and the rest of our committee for sourcing sponsors and prizes.”
