MRS Margaret Cusack, who passed away peacefully at her Vianstown Road home in Downpatrick on January 6, 2017, at the age of 64, was a quiet lady, who had great inner strength and put others before herself.
She was the beloved wife of Eamon and devoted mum to Sinead, Ciara, Emma, Nuala and her late son, Paul. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and the wider family circle.
Mrs Cusack worked at St John’s House nursing home in Downpatrick for over 20 years and later as a care worker with Mainstay DRP, also in Downpatrick.
She was a humble person, who kept herself to herself, but she was a tower of strength to her family and colleagues, who deeply appreciated her caring, loving nature, and was someone to turn to in times of difficulty.
Her hobbies including cooking, gardening and travel. With her husband, Eamon, who was also her best friend, she particularly caravanning, which took her all over Ireland. Her chief interest, however, was her family.
Fr Maurice Henry conducted requiem mass in St Patrick’s Church on Monday, January 9, which was followed by interment in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Killough Road.
