THE 10th Kevin Gorman Memorial Cup drew a massive crowd to Meadowvale, Drumaness, on Saturday.

The annual fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation is run by Jackie and Shane Gorman — Kevin’s mother and brother — in memory of Kevin who tragically lost his life attempting to save a PSNI colleague in 2008.

Sixteen youth teams played in a tournament, before the main match which saw Drumaness Mills beating the PSNI 3-1 for the honour of the memorial cup in its last year.

There was a number of attractions for the children throughout the family fun day, and the day concluded with music throughout the evening in the clubhouse.

Jackie and Shane would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the years, including their loyal volunteers, sponsors, and Drumaness Mills for the use of their facilities.

“It would be impossible to thank every individual, but you know who you are and we extend our warmest and heartfelt thanks,” Jackie said.

“It was indeed fitting that the Mills won the cup in its final year, and this saw Kevin’s two daughters, Shannyn and Abi, present the cup to his brother, Shane.”
