Fire breaks out at former factory site

A FIRE broke out at a derelict building at the Saul Road in Downpatrick yesterday morning.

Two fire appliances from Downpatrick and Ballynahinch responded to the blaze at 7.30am.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a jet hose and one hose reel to put out the fire at the site, which is line for redevelopment, by 9am.
