A DOWN High School pupil has won a competition for young news hounds.
Eileanor Crilly proved she has a nose for a good story when she won the BBC Northern Ireland Young Reporter competition last week.
The Year 14 student’s winning piece explored the development of her passion for rock and heavy metal music.
It was featured on the BBC NI News website on Friday.
A representative from the BBC said that the piece was head and shoulders above all the other entries and was a clear winner, encapsulating the essence of what the competition is all about.
