Brian raises £1,250 with charity reindeer and book

13 January 2021

A LOCAL man has raised £1,250 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Brian Johnston, who lives near Temple, raised the money through the sales of his hand-crafted wooden reindeer and the proceeds of his humour-filled book.

Brian Johnston, who recently handed over the money to the charity, says he is overwhelmed by the generosity of many people.

Brian has been making his reindeer in the run-up to Christmas for the past five years.

Sales in 2020 far outstripped those in previous years, causing Brian to joke that over 80 reindeer have now found pastures new.

Brian’s book of humour was also a popular Christmas present for many and sales of the books added to the total raised. Copies can still be purchased by telephoning Brian on 07773 765781.

Brian would like to express his thanks to all those who, through their purchases, have supported the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
